Powder Diffraction Methods

The structure of polycrystalline materials can be studied using powder diffraction methods. Structure refinement from very precise data allows the deter-mination of atomic positions in a wide variety of materials.
The special diffractometer dedicated to these experiments at the LCA-RX has a theta-theta configuration and 0.001degree diffraction angle resolution. Measurements can be made from room temperature down to 10K.
