Small Angle X-Ray Scattering (SAXS)

Scattering curves from macro-molecules in solution give information on their shape and overall dimension.
Porous materials and nano-particles in a homogeneous matrix also scatter X-Rays. SAXS experiments allow the study of the pores or particles.
Our experimental set-up consists of a 1m long (3 slits) camera, with a 10 cm position sensitive detector mounted on a rotating anode (Cu Kalpha) X-Ray generator (see figure at left).
