Prof. Chambouleyron holds an Electronic Engineer degree
from La Plata State University, Argentina, a Diploma
from the Philips International Institute of Technological Studies, The
Netherlands, and a Docteur ès Sciences Physiques degree from the Université de
Paris, France. He is professor at the Institute of Physics,
State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), SP, Brazil. Most of Prof. Chambouleyron’s career has been devoted to
R&D of semiconductor materials and electronic device physics, particularly
amorphous semiconductors and solar cells. During the last 35 years he has
been working in Latin America: Argentina, Mexico and (for most of the
time) Brazil. He has been visiting professor at Instituto Politecnico
Nacional (Mexico), Ecole Polytechnique (France), Universita di Roma
(Italy), and Princeton University (USA). Prof. Chambouleyron has authored
or co-authored over 150 scientific publications. He is Senior Member of the IEEE, Fellow of the American
Physical Society, and Member of the Materials Research Society and the
Brazilian Physical Society. In 1987 he received the Energy for Mankind
Award of the Global Energy Society (USA), and in 1999 he was awarded the
Palmes Academiques, the French Government's highest honor for academic
achievement. |
