The Auger Observatory is under construction in the Argentinian Pampa in
the province of Mendoza. While the expected time of completion is end
of  2005, the observatory is nevertheless the largest
cosmic ray detector built to date and its high quality data will make
it one of the most interesting experiment in high energy
astrophysics. Properties and expectations of the Auger observatory
in the study of Ultra High Energy Cosmic Ray will be presented.
