The recent results from the Auger Observatory are described: the steepening of the spectrum at highest energies, the evolution of the composition indicators as a function of energy, photon and neutrino limits and the arrival direction of the ultra-high-energy cosmic rays. The first experimental evidence of their anisotropic distribution above 60 EeV - that suggests an extragalactic and bottom-up origem for them - and the issues raised by a few papers in the recent literature will be discussed.
